Described by the The New Yorker as “having brown curls, bright eyes, kiddish exuberance and looking like the heroine of a children’s book… Really Rosie meets Olivia the Pig,” Kara Tatelbaum enjoyed an extensive performance and teaching career in NYC and abroad. She earned her BFA in Dance as a University Honors Scholar from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and MFA in Choreography with a Teaching Assistantship from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase

As a certified Power Pilates and Pilates Academy International instructor, Kara has taught for major fitness chains, boutique gyms, corporate and private clients. She is the creator/author of Lazy Girl Pilates and has been featured in Forbes.com, Reader’s Digest, Good Housekeeping, and Today.com among others.

Kara uses her unique skill set as choreographer and coach to support clients navigating life’s unexpected storms. She earned her certification as a Wellness + Resilience Coach from the Academy of Creative Coaching. With personal experience under her belt, she’s dedicated to helping others bounce back from setbacks, maintain a positive quality of life during an uncertain time, and find their power.
